Published by The Couvent Collective, Evans Cutchmore reports on the systems, water, transportation, port, federal, that determine the quality of life in Louisiana's most vulnerable communities.

The Promise of Protection 

A documentary film currently in production examining the Industrial Canal's impact on one Lower Ninth Ward family across sixty years - from Hurricane Betsy in 1965 through Hurricane Katrina in 2005 to the Army Corps of Engineers' current lock replacement proposal. The filmmaker grew up on Deslonde Street in the Lower Ninth Ward. Aerial documentation by CreoleSky Drones. Slated for completion 2027. Submitted for consideration in the Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards, Category 401C - Documentary Topical.
