Building Financial Foundations Through Play, An Initiative of The Couvent Collective
Lark & Mimi™ is a Louisiana-based early learning financial literacy flagship series designed to introduce money concepts, social-emotional growth, and STEM skills through storytelling, play, and imagination.
Developed by corporate trainer and entrepreneur Kim Marie Braud, the series serves as the early learning foundation of Louisiana’s growing financial literacy pipeline, supporting the vision behind the 2027 Financial Literacy Mandate (Act 480/HB 52).
While Act 480 focuses on high school instruction, Lark & Mimi™ begins much earlier -ensuring children enter elementary school already familiar with core money concepts. The program aligns with Louisiana Early Learning Domains 4 (Cognition), 5 (Social-Emotional Development), and 6 (Approaches to Learning) to strengthen numeracy, problem-solving, and early financial confidence - one story at a time.
