Banned Books

Banned Books

Books spark thought. Books challenge power. Books give voice.

Banned Books Week is a reminder that stories once silenced still demand to be heard.

The books most often challenged are not random. They are stories that:
• Center Black and Brown voices
• Share LGBTQ+ experiences
• Speak honestly about history
• Address racism and inequality
• Talk openly about gender, identity, and faith

These books expand understanding, which is why some try to silence them.
