Kim M. Braud

Kim Marie Braud is a strategist, writer, and founder working at the intersection of economic power, cultural narrative, and community leadership. With more than 30 years of experience across financial services, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership, her work examines how systems shape opportunity, memory, and access, and who benefits when those systems are preserved or dismantled.
She is the founder of Evans Cutchmore, an independent media and literary marketing platform, and The Couvent Collective, a public-benefit organization dedicated to education, economic mobility, and business development for underserved communities. Her writing centers on institutional accountability, historical erasure, and the preservation of Black legacies, particularly in New Orleans and the broader South.
